About the project: The project has four salient objectives tracking and monitoring of e-newspapers electronic channels and web portals, documentation of good practices and initiatives of GoUP , capacity building of IEC BCC Nodal officers and engagement of journalist and publication of Leading and non-leading media on health and nutrition issues
Achievements: Out of 282489 informative reports 108842 were CFAR supported. Documentation included 127485 content, 92131 press releases, 26903 backgrounders, 4219 special stories, 1892 case studies and 2313 profile sketches on good practices and initiatives of GOUP, NHM and partners. Additionally media reports popularized issues like male participation in family planning. Prepared FAQs on various health issues -Maternal health, Breast feeding, Nutrition, Malnutrition, Tuberculosis and AES for sensitizing the media and documented 97 champion stories of doctors, ANM, ASHA, r ICDS workers and community leaders. CFAR did special stories on facts related to thalassemia and capacitated 75 District Health Education Information Officers and 704 Block Health Education Officers on issue of Family planning, Breastfeeding and Nutrition
