About the project: The project was implemented across two wards, 12 settlements in both cities with the aim of building a localised, all stakeholder response on menstrual health and hygiene, led by women and girls, including those living with disabilities, newly weds, school going and drop out and menopausal. The initiative aimed to integrate menstrual health and hygiene with nutrition, child care, education, women’s empowerment and
Achievement: Achieved an integrated MHHM response led by 157 women and girls supported by FLW, transgender, men and boys. Established transformative attitudes and practices of equality, developed community led innovations including Pad bank, community-led MHHM education, psycho-social support through master trainers and enterprise development with support of government and local stakeholders to strengthen the menstrual value chain.
