About the project: CFAR implemented in Jaipur a pilot intervention as part of the COVID Solidarity Funds being deployed by UNICEF to strengthen WASH in institutional facilities Over a period of six-month, the project spread over 13 settlements, 35 wards, 10 zones aimed to understand issues of WASH in urban slums in context of COVID-19 health facilities, Anganwadis centres, schools and community toilets.
Achievements: The intervention included installation of 30 innovative cost-effective and replicable hand wash stations and 10 incinerators in institutions for safe menstrual hygiene management. A process documentation of the initiative was undertaken as part of the intervention to be presented to stakeholder as advocacy tool for safe and gender inclusive WASH in slums
